I wanted to dedicate a post to my favorite site for getting dresses. This time of year I feel like I always have some sort of special occasion that I need to go to, whether it is a holiday party, wedding, or a work event with Mike. RARELY do I buy dresses because I know I will probably only wear them once and then they will sit in my closet. I would rather spend money on a good pair of shoes that I know I will get a ton of wear out of, than spend on a dress that will only see the light of day once.
For a few years now, I have used Rent The Runway for any wedding or big event that I go to. I love that they have a bunch of different price points to choose from as well as a TON of different dress options as well. Plus, they will send you 2 different sizes, which for me is awesome because I find that every dress can fit me a little bit different depending on how the top fits, how tight it is around the hips, etc. You can also read the reviews on each dress and see pictures of it on real people, which has helped me out multiple times when I’m trying to choose which dress to go with. You can rent your dress for 4 days or 8 days depending on how long you will need it for and can book your dresses ahead of time if you know you have a wedding or big event coming up. Then they give you a mailing label which makes sending it back easy! I’ve had a good experience every time I’ve used Rent The Runway because the whole process is so easy. Like I said, I have used this website for years now and I always get compliments on the dresses I rent. They now have other clothing options and accessories that you can rent, too, which makes it perfect for any event that you want a new, trendy outfit for, but know you may not wear again.
I included some pictures from the wedding Mike and I went to this past weekend. I used Rent The Runway on this Ali and Jay dress. This dress ended up being perfect for dancing because of how flowy it was and it wasn’t too tight where I felt like I couldn’t eat at dinner. That’s the worst!! I also loved the rust color since it is perfect for fall and the straps had a cute bow detail.
I hope this post helps narrow down the search for dresses if you have any weddings or holiday parties coming up! I’d love to see what dresses or accessories you rent, so share your pics in the comments below. 😊
