Hi Friends! This travel guide is long overdue and I am so excited to share all the gems I found in LA with you guys in case you are planning a trip there! 😊
HiHo Cheeseburger: This place was SO yummy. Definitely on the more casual side since it is a burger place but it was perfect for lunch on our first day in LA since it was quick and right near a bunch of shopping.
Lemonade: OK, so this place was really good and on the healthier side (so we didn’t have to feel bad for eating out on our whooole trip. 😜) they have salads, bowls, sandwiches, and of course lemonade. I got a sandwich and Mike ended up getting a bowl and we both really liked our meals. I wish this was in Chicago, because I would probably eat there a ton!
SUR: I’m a huge fan of Vanderpump Rules (and Lisa Vanderpump) so of course I had to go to SUR. It was definitely worth it too, even though I didn’t see any of the Vanderpump Rules cast actually working while we were there. The goat cheese balls were definitely as good as Stassi describes them on the show. To this day, Mike still says this was his fav part of our LA trip because the food was so good.
Beverly Hills Hotel: I wish we would have had time to get brunch here because it is the cutest. We had a chance to just walk around the hotel but didn’t have time to stop for brunch. This hotel and The Cabana Cafe are 100% my vibe. I am obsessed with the pink and palm print and honestly would remodel my house like this if Mike would let me. The menu for The Cabana Cafe looks so good. Will definitely have to go back here when I come back to LA
Good Times At Davey Waynes: I’m bummed we didn’t get to stop here for drinks because it is supposed to be super cool- Basically That 70’s Show if it were turned into a bar.
Show Me Your Mumu: If you know me, you know this is one of my fav places to shop online so I was so excited to actually get to shop in the store. It’s so cute and they have a bunch of pieces perfect for every type of event from casual wear to cute dresses for weddings.
Abbot Kinney Blvd: This is where Show Me Your Mumu is located along with a bunch of other shops. The street had everything from clothing to boutiques to art, to restaurant. It was all so charming.
Runyon Canyon: I really wanted to go hiking up Runyon Canyon but when we left for the day I wasn’t dressed to go hiking and Mike refused to go back for me to get changed (🙄)so it didn’t happen. If I were to go back to LA I would definitely do this (and wear the appropriate hiking outfit 🙃) We were still able to see the Hollywood sign from our car, but it would’ve been fun to see it while getting a little exercise.
Rodeo Drive: This is a must if you go to LA!! It is so picture perfect and I just loved walking up and down and going window shopping.
Santa Monica Beach: Mike and I were craving a beach so it was nice to go here even though it was a little chilly. It was so fun to see the lifeguard huts (something that I’ve never seen @ Lake Michigan) and I loved that the Santa Monica Pier was right there.
Thanks for following along! Hope you all have a fabulous week. 😊 Make sure to subscribe(on the left hand side of the blog on desktop or at the bottom on the mobile site) so you never miss a blog post!
