Happy Monday guys! I had a ton of fun celebrating July 4th but I’m happy to start the week fresh and get back to some normalcy.

It seems like it has been forever since I have done a travel guide! I have definitely missed writing them since I love traveling and exploring new places (and sharing with you all!) My bestie Olivia and I decided to take a road trip to Nashville to celebrate both of our birthdays (Our birthdays are only 2 weeks apart) and we had such a blast. We had never taken a girls trip together before even though we have been friends for 24 (!!) years. This definitely will not be our last, though. Nashville was the perfect little weekend getaway. Nashville is such a fun city and there is a TON to do. Here is what I found to be worthwhile while we were there.

Hotel Preston: This is where Olivia and I stayed while we were in Nashville and it was great. Although it wasn’t “walkable” to anything we were able to get to any neighborhood within like 10-15 mins. Nashville has so many different neighborhoods that being able to drive to each one and be there within a couple of mins made this hotel awesome. Plus they have a pool! If you’re headed to Nash in the summer, you will definitely want to take a dip because it is HOT.

Bartaco If I could’ve eaten here everyday, I would have. Everything about it was amazing- the food, decor, service, etc. Like their name suggests they serve tacos, but they also have other items as well like rice bowls. I would HIGHLY suggest going for the tacos though. They are a la cart so you can choose as many or as few as you’d like and they have so many unique choices like cauliflower (so good!) but also have your standard flavors as well like carne asada (this one was amazing, too!) Can’t recommend this place enough! Just writing about it is making me crave it again. 😋

The Grilled Cheeserie This was our first stop once we arrived and we just kind of chose it on a whim, but it was so good. They have a ton of unique grilled cheese combinations or you can make your own grilled cheese.

Five Daughters Bakery This is a MUST if you are in Nashville but be sure to go early since they do sell out. Once they are sold out they don’t make more and close for the rest of the day. They have a TON of fun options like “grasshopper” (choc mint) and chocolate sea salt. I had a really hard time choosing which to get but I went for a standard chocolate ganache.

NoBaked Cookie Dough If you know me, you know I can’t pass up on dessert. I found this place online before out trip and knew we would have to go. They had a ton of different cookie dough flavors and oh my gosh it was SO good but so rich. If you love licking the bowl after making cookie dough, this spot will be your heaven.

Head to Broadway: It is a right of passage to go to Broadway when you’re in Nash. This area is known for all of the live music bars and you are sure to have a fun time while you’re here.

Check out all the neighborhood Nashville has to offer: Nashville is filled with so many fun neighborhoods. My favorite that we visited was 12 South. This is where Bartaco was. It also had a bunch of other restaurants, shops, and a ton of fun murals, too. There is also the Gulch (lots of shopping and the huge butterfly wings), Hillsboro Village has a bunch of boutiques and restaurants, and then East Nashville has a ton of unique shops and restaurants.
