It’s been a while since my last blog post about what I have been reading lately. Despite my lack of posting, I have actually been reading a ton. I’ve found I don’t love anything on TV lately and would much rather be reading. Plus I have had a huge pile to get through thanks to a bunch of recommendations from friends. Here are a few that I would HIGHLY recommend you to check out!
Happy & You Know It by Laura Hankin

I just finished reading this one and really loved it. It was cute but still had some twists and turns throughout. I didn’t know much about it before reading it but one I started I was so happy I did. It’s about a musician who plays guitar for a mommy play group and all the drama that comes with them. It’s basically Sex and the City if they were moms. Even if you aren’t expecting or don’t have any kids, it’s still a fun read.
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner

I really like Jennifer Weiner books, but this one was probably my fave. There were a ton of twists I did not see coming, mostly because Jennifer Weiner typically writes realistic fiction. This one was more realistic fiction meets thriller and left me wanting to read more to find out how it all was going to end. This one is about an influencer who is invited to her ex- best friends lavish wedding.
Untamed by Glennon Doyle

If you haven’t read this one yet, what are you waiting for? So good! I’m not typically a non-fiction person, but I love how the book is written in short memoir-type chapters that made it easy to read while still making you think and question.
Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

Thrillers/ mysteries are typically my go-to genre and this one did not disappoint. I will say, there were times where this book was a bit graphic and I had to put it down because it made me sick to my stomach (and it wasn’t from baby boy). It was definitely a page turner and about halfway through the book I just wanted to keep reading so I could finish and find out what happens. This one is about a teenage girl who went missing years ago and a women’s husband who gets murdered and how it all connects.
What are some books you have been reading recently? I would love to add some more books to my to be read pile! Let me know what is worth picking up and reading next!
