I’ve been busy reading up a storm this summer! I always go through phases where I’m super into reading and then I take breaks and would rather relax by watching a TV show. Lately I’ve been in the reading phases and have gotten through so many good books! A disclaimer before going any further- these books are all a bit spicy (if ya know what I mean) 😉🔥

It Ends With Us

By no means is this book new, but I am a newer Colleen Hoover fan! I have loved every book of hers that I’ve read so far. This book has been on my list for quite a while and it did not disappoint. It is actually being made into a movie currently and there is a sequel to this book coming out in October (You can preorder it here). Without giving too much away, this book is about a girl who meets a handsome doctor, she falls in love with handsome doctor and then her ex boyfriend resurfaces making her question everything. It was a bit slow in the beginning but I ended up loving it and couldn’t put it down.

Things We Never Got Over

This is one that I had heard great things about and it was good, just slow and drawn out for the first 200 pages. It was 500+ pages and at times it felt like it was talking in circles. This one was extra spicy and had a bit of a thriller/mystery added in to it which made it enjoyable. This book gave me Hallmark Christmas movie vibes with the small town romance story.

Beach Read

Emily Henry is another author who has become one of my favorites. I read “People We Meet on Vacation” over spring break and ended up loving it, so I had to pick up her other two books. This one is probably my favorite of all 3 of her books. I loved the whole story and was so sad when it ended. This one was about an author who goes to live in her father’s Michigan home to write her next book and her college nemesis ends up being her neighbor.

Book Lovers

This one reminded me of Beach Read, however, instead of the main character being an author, she is a literary agent. Her sister convinces her to go to a small town for a vacation where she runs into a book editor who she doesn’t get along with.
